I have been a strong follower of dreams & why not? Every one of us love to dream. Don't we? What is so special about dreams to write a blog and that too as my first blog?
From my childhood, whenever I had problems I had troubled sleep. Dreams flow all across my mind & suddenly I find a solution to the problem in my dream. Do you call it as sub conscious mind activity, so be it. But that is dream, isn’t it?
To quote few examples…
I play chess with my grandfather in early childhood (until I was probably 12) & later a friend of mine (elangathir for those who know me). There would be a equal percentage of win and loss both sides. But sometimes, it will be me who lose all the games. I play again and again only to extend my losing streak. Finally after those troubled games, when I sleep I dream of play chess with the same opponent by which not only, I get to analyze my mistakes but also newer strategies with which I go on the winning streak the next day. I stop my streak, so that I neutralize & do not play any further as I did not wanted the opponent to feel bad as they are my close friends & relatives. I never wanted to kill them. After this I stop playing for a couple of days & on starting Chess again, we end in equal wins & losses.
It never stopped with Chess at least for me. It continued in my studies, if I do not understand something…I struggle hard to understand it & end up in a troubled sleep, next day I become good on that subject.
Recently, I tried the same strategy on learning to drive a car. Believe me or not, in 3 hours, I analyzed my misses & I can say now I know to drive. May be with another dream, I am sure I will be a good driver.
Will continue my experiences when I have time

Good one da.. Infact, it happened for me too..
I was learning to drive a bike at 10th std.. tried a lot that day.. didnt lose my patience.. kept trying to drive as it will keep turning off at the first gear and while changing to first gear..
And I got the knack of driving it smooth from my dream the same day..
Yes.. That was very interesting..
My faint memory reminded me about Elias Howe's Sewing machine invention. The core idea of "inserting thread into a needle thru a hole" was from a dream for him..
Out of curiosity did a google search on "Elias Howe+ dream" to know more and here is the interesting link on dreams

In my opinion( not sure what Freud has to say.. :-))common Causes for dreams are deep emotional imprints on human consiousness. In this case it looks to be FEAR which is the basic survival instinct. In other cases it might be passionate curiosity..It's so wonderful to realize the amazing connections and patterns that one gets in his dreams when the sub concious is at work which we could have never imagined in our conscious thinking.
I tend to seriously believe that cracking this algorithm might help us to innovate a "innovation machine" thats capable of defying logics and reasoning which is capable of creating innumerous possibilities. That way dreams are more powerful than conscious thinking
Watch out for my post on creator and creation.. May be u might have few more days of troubled sleep..hahaha.. I am done with mine...It's all fun as long as we do not become eternal insomniacs..
